Final Approach to Helen

There are three main ways to get into Helen. Each direction there is a town where we recommend fueling up and grabbing a bite before arrival if you're hungry. The home stretch does have small items, but it is a bit stretched out. We'll detail some of our favorite spots here, so the trip is a bit easier for those making it possibly the first time.

From GA-17/GA-75 S in the North, you will pass through Hiawassee about 20mi from Helen.

From GA-17 S in the South East, you will pass through Clarkesville about 15mi from Helen.

From GA-75 S in the South West, you will pass through Cleveland about 9mi from Helen.

Fuel is typically a bit more expensive inside of Helen, than in these towns. We definitely recommend filling up your tank so you don't need to worry.
